Responsibilities: 

  • Develop a careful and creative program suitable for specific age groups of children
  • Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media, etc.) to teach children
  • Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
  • Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments
  • Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers, or colors, do crafts, etc.)
  • Organize nap and snack hours and supervise children to ensure they are always safe.
  • Track children’s progress and report to parents
  • Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children’s background and psyche.
  • Collaborate with other educators.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age and have a High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1-2 years experience working in a licensed childcare facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the lead teacher in carrying out the curriculum and daily activities, including long and short-range goals.
  • Maintain a consistent daily routine, including classroom structures, mealtimes, physical play, a nap period, and outside play.
  • Assist in conflict management between children in the classroom; teach them skills they still need to learn.
  • Being respectful and creating partnerships with your co-workers; must possess a solid ability to communicate positively and openly.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment for children and staff; this includes cleaning responsibilities throughout the day.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous experience in child care is preferred
  • Understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management
  • Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Energetic and positive attitude

Responsibilities:

An employee must meet the physical demands described here to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly to walk, sit, stand, and reach with hands and arms, stoop or kneel, and crouch.

Additional physical requirements may include the following:

  • Physically capable of lifting or moving heavy objects.
  • Sufficiently mobile to ensure the safety of students.
  • Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity to use a telephone and data entry.
  • Read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids.
  • Hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone.
  • Speak in audible tones so that others understand clearly in person and on the telephone.
  • Performs other related duties, as assigned by the administrative team, to ensure the efficient, effective functioning of the school environment.

Working Environment:

This position requires the following physical demands: significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing; significant stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and fine finger dexterity.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous custodial and grounds experience required
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Comfortable squatting, twisting, bending, and kneeling while using tools and performing maintenance tasks
  • Possess working knowledge of the methods, techniques, and materials used in custodial work
  • Ability to climb ladders and work from heights
  • Familiar with operating, caring for, and storing custodial equipment and supplies
